Specific heat of a Fermi system near ferromagnetic quantum phase transition
نویسنده
چکیده
We calculate the specific heat for an interacting Fermi system near the ferromagnetic phase transition using the Renormalization Group method. The temperature dependence of the specific heat present for dimension D = 3 a logarithmic dependence which shows that the fermionic excitations reaches a non Fermi behavior. The result is in good agreement with the experimental data obtained recently for NixPd1−x alloys.

Kondo-cluster-glass state near a ferromagnetic quantum phase transition.
We report on a comprehensive study of CePd(1-x)Rh(x) (0.6 <or= x <or= 0.95) poly- and single crystals close to the ferromagnetic instability by means of low-temperature ac susceptibility, magnetization, and volume thermal expansion. The signature of ferromagnetism in this heavy-fermion system can be traced from 6.6 K in CePd down to 25 mK for x = 0.87. Despite pronounced non-Fermi-liquid effect...

The experimental study of the low temperature (down to 0.4 K) specific heat of the Kondo ferromagnet system Ce1−xYxNi0.8Pt0.2 is presented. Special attention has been paid to the Ce0.8Y0.2Ni0.8Pt0.2 composition, which is situated near the Zero Temperature Phase Transition. This compound presents a marked divergence of the specific heat at low temperatures, signature of a Non Fermi Liquid behavi...

We present fully self-consistent calculations in the fluctuation exchange approximation for the half-filled Hubbard model in 2D. A non-fermi liquid state evolves with decreasing temperature in this self-consistent model of coupled spin fluctuations and quasiparticles. The mean field phase transition to long-range antiferromagnetic order is suppressed and we find no evidence of a phase transitio...

We study numerically the electronic heat capacity, spin and charge current in a diffusive Superconductor-Ferromagnetic-Superconductor systems، with singlet superconducting leads and non-uniform ferromagnetic layer. Specially, we focus on ferromagnetic layer with domain wall and conical structures incorporation the spin-active interfaces. We investigate, how the 0-π transition is influenced by n...
متن کامل1 Se p 20 06 Search for the ferromagnetic quantum critical points in URhGe by chemical substitution
In the electrically correlated metal URhGe ferromagnetic order (T C = 9.5 K) and superconductivity (T s = 0.25 K) coexist at ambient pressure. Here we report on chemical substitution of Rh by Ru, which enables one to tune the Curie temperature to T = 0. URuGe has a paramagnetic ground state and is isostructural to URhGe. We have prepared a series of polycrystalline URh 1−x Ru x Ge samples over ...
